We do not publish reviews, star ratings, testimonials, awards, or a years-in-business figure that we cannot verify. When we have real, attributable reviews from real customers, they will appear here and nowhere else.
Why we would rather have an empty page
Fabricated social proof is close to standard practice in emergency home services. Invented testimonials with stock-photo faces, star ratings on a site nobody can trace, round-numbered customer counts that come from nowhere — these are cheap to produce and they work, which is why they are everywhere.
They are also deceptive, and in the United States the Federal Trade Commission treats fake reviews and testimonials as exactly that. We took the view early that we would rather explain an empty page than fill it with things that are not true. If you have read any of the cost guides on this site, this is the same principle applied to a different section: publish what is real, say plainly what is not known, and let people decide.
It costs us something. A page with fifteen five-star reviews converts better than this one. We think the trade is worth making, and if you are comparing us against a company whose review page looks perfect, that is a comparison worth thinking about rather than just counting stars.
What to judge a mold company on instead
Reviews are a weak signal in this trade for a structural reason: they are usually written the day the crew leaves, which is months before anyone finds out whether the mold came back. The thing you actually care about — did the remediation hold — is not knowable at the moment most reviews get collected.
These five things are knowable before you sign, and they predict the outcome far better:
Published pricing
A company that publishes real ranges is telling you what things cost before you are standing in your flooded basement. "Call for pricing" exists so the number can be set after they have seen how worried you are. Every service page on this site carries its range.
A written scope before work starts
Affected square footage, which materials are coming out, how far past the visible growth, whether the water source is included, whether clearance testing is included. Without those five lines, two quotes cannot be compared at all.
Whether they name the water source
If a contractor cannot tell you where the water came from, they have not looked properly — and the remediation will fail. This single question separates diagnosis from demolition.
Independent clearance testing
Testing done by a third party rather than by the company that did the work. It is the only thing that converts "we finished" into "it worked", and it is the document you will want if you ever sell the house.
Whether they will tell you no
Ask what they would charge to deal with surface mildew on bathroom grout. The right answer is that you do not need them for that. A company that quotes a containment for it is telling you something useful.

How should I judge a mold remediation company then?
On the written scope. Does it name the water source and say whether correcting it is included? Does it specify how far past the visible growth material is being cut back? Does it include containment and negative air? Does it include independent clearance testing? Those five answers tell you more about the outcome than any review ever will.
Can I leave a review?
If we have done work for you, we would genuinely like to hear how it went — call the line or email us. What we will not do is offer an incentive for a positive review, which is both against the guidelines of every review platform and a good way to make reviews meaningless.
Are online mold company reviews reliable in general?
Treat them with some caution.
